Frazee, Minnesota is located
just off of Hwy 10 heading northwest out of the twin cities going towards
Fargo, North Dakota. You will encouter it just 10 minutes before reaching
the town of Detroit Lakes.
Why is frazee home of the worlds
largest turkey? I am not really sure of that, but as you drive in, around
or through the area, what you will notice are many turkey farms, and I
mean many! So it is probably fitting. Here is the giant gobbler himself
to the right...........
Another nice thing to do in
Frazee is cast a line into beautiful Town Lake. Just across from the turkey
is a great shore fishing spot. Seems to be a pretty popular spot!. Shhhhh... don't tell everyone!
I asked this young angler what
his secret was? His reply.... "Well, its all timing, these
bait stealers are getting the best of me and my worms today, but this one
is LUNCH!
